Biscuits and Sausage Gravy

This is my Midwestern mom’s recipe. Nothin’ beats fat first thing in the morning… Oooooh, I can hear my arteries hardening.

Ingredients

1 tube breakfast sausage (like Jimmy Dean’s) (I think it’s a pound)

1/3 cup of butter

1/3 cup of flour

1 1/2 cup of milk

1 can of biscuits (Yes, the Pillsbury Doughboy kind =)

Directions

1. Pop the biscuits in the oven.
2. Brown sausage; drain.
3. Add butter and when it’s melted, add flour. Stir, then add milk and stir again.
4. Season with salt and pepper and serve over hot biscuits.
